The ideal candidate is an early-career strategist with strong problem-structuring ability and analytical rigor—comparable to a top-performing Business Analyst or Associate at a leading management consulting firm. This individual will contribute across strategic projects, business development due diligence, and portfolio governance, with significant exposure to senior leadership.
Success in this role requires sharp quantitative skills, intellectual curiosity about biopharma markets and science, strong attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, executive-ready outputs.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis & Project Support
  • Support enterprise and therapeutic-area strategy projects by conducting market research, competitive landscaping, and data analysis under the direction of senior team members.
  • Structure and execute discrete analytical workstreams within larger strategic initiatives, delivering well-organized findings and preliminary recommendations.
  • Build and maintain models, frameworks, and databases that underpin strategic decision-making (e.g., competitive benchmarking, market sizing, scenario analysis).
  • Monitor industry developments, scientific publications, competitor actions, and market trends to proactively surface insights for the team.

Business Development & Commercial Due Diligence
  • Conduct research and analysis to support commercial due diligence on potential BD targets, including market assessments, competitive positioning, and unmet need analysis.
  • Build and refine financial models, including revenue forecasts, P&L scenarios, and rNPV analyses; compile benchmarking data on comparable deal terms (milestone/royalty structures, upfront payments, licensing economics) to support deal evaluation and term sheet review.
  • Prepare data rooms, information requests, and background materials for BD evaluations; coordinate diligence logistics including scheduling KOL consultations, advisor calls, and management meetings.
  • Synthesize clinical, commercial, and financial data into structured summaries and appendices for investment committee materials.
  • Maintain and curate the BD target landscape using databases (e.g., PitchBook, Evaluate) and industry intelligence; run initial screens against strategic criteria and prepare target profiles for leadership review.

Portfolio Governance & Decision Support
  • Support the portfolio review process by gathering cross-functional inputs, organizing data, and preparing meeting materials and pre-reads.
  • Maintain and update portfolio dashboards, KPI trackers, and decision-support tools used by senior leadership.
  • Track portfolio milestones, clinical readouts, and competitive developments to keep the team’s knowledge base current.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with colleagues across R&D, Clinical, Commercial, Medical, BD, Regulatory, and Finance to gather data and align on analytical inputs.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups and contribute analytical perspectives to team discussions.

Executive Deliverables & Communication
  • Draft and refine PowerPoint presentations, memos, and analytical exhibits for executive and Board-level audiences.
  • Ensure accuracy, visual clarity, and logical flow in all deliverables, applying structured storytelling principles.
  • Support preparation of materials for Executive Team meetings, Board sessions, and strategy off-sites.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, MPH, or life sciences degree).
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in management consulting (MBB or top-tier strategy firm strongly preferred), biopharma strategy, corporate development, or investment banking / healthcare equity research.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, market sizing, and data synthesis.
  • Solid understanding of (or strong eagerness to learn) drug development, clinical evidence interpretation, and biopharma commercial dynamics.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; ability to produce polished, executive-quality materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
