Job Summary:
PharmaEssentia is seeking Lab Support Technician to provide essential laboratory support functions to the R&D team under close supervision, ensuring compliance with GLP/GMP regulations. This role involves cleaning, organizing, preparing lab materials, and maintaining stock inventories while following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Onsite requirements: This is a Part-Time job for up to 12 hours per week split into 3-4 days a week onsite at our Bedford, MA office location. We can be flexible on the days and time for the right fit.
Job Summary:
PharmaEssentia is seeking Lab Support Technician to provide essential laboratory support functions to the R&D team under close supervision, ensuring compliance with GLP/GMP regulations. This role involves cleaning, organizing, preparing lab materials, and maintaining stock inventories while following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Glassware Preparation: Wash, dry, and sterilize laboratory glassware.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain support equipment, including autoclaves, glass washers, pH meters, and balances.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock of chemicals, supplies, and central stockroom items.
- Media & Buffer Preparation: Assist in the preparation of media and buffer solutions as needed.
- Lab Maintenance: Clean and organize laboratories, common equipment, and other lab-related areas.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work in strict accordance with SOPs and safety regulations, including handling hazardous materials.
- Training & Supervision: Receive detailed instructions for all tasks, with close supervision and work review upon completion.
- Ability to operate and care for laboratory equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of cell culture laboratory procedures, lab equipment, and life science terminology.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a regulated environment.
- Minimum: High School diploma/GED with 1-3 years of related experience.
- Preferred: Associate’s (AS) degree with 0-1 year of experience in a cGMP/GLP environment.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
