Position Overview:

The Senior Director, Oncology Nurse Educators is responsible for the strategic leadership, build-out, execution, and ongoing optimization of PharmaEssentia’s field-based Oncology Nurse Educator organization supporting BESREMi®. This leader will oversee a national team of Oncology Nurse Educators focused on delivering non-promotional, compliant education to healthcare offices, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical staff involved in the treatment of patients receiving BESREMi.

This role serves as the primary architect of the field nurse education strategy and a critical cross-functional leader across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Training, and related functions. The Senior Director will translate brand and commercial priorities into a compliant field education model that equips healthcare teams to appropriately support patients throughout the treatment journey.

In addition to leading the team, this role is responsible for the development, oversight, and continuous refinement of customer-facing educational materials and tools used by the Oncology Nurse Educator team with healthcare practices. This includes identifying educational gaps, shaping content strategy, partnering cross-functionally on material development, and ensuring all materials are accurate, relevant, compliant, and aligned to the needs of office-based clinical stakeholders. This position operates within strict regulatory and compliance boundaries and does not engage in promotional activities or influence prescribing decisions.

This individual must be capable of balancing commercial alignment with strict compliance, developing talent while driving results, and ensuring PharmaEssentia’s educational engagement model delivers meaningful value to healthcare practices treating patients with BESREMi.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Team Management
  • Develop and lead the national field education strategy for Oncology Nurse Educators supporting BESREMi, aligned to PharmaEssentia’s brand vision and commercial objectives
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain a high-performing team of experienced Oncology Nurse Educators
  • Establish clear expectations, performance standards, coaching models, and development plans for direct reports
  • Conduct regular field engagement and coaching to strengthen clinical credibility, execution consistency, and customer impact
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continual improvement, professionalism, and patient-centered thinking across the team
  • Create an environment that rewards strong performance, encourages sharing of best practices, and fosters future leaders within the organization.

Field Education Strategy and Execution
  • Translate commercial priorities into compliant field education strategies that support healthcare practices caring for patients treated with BESREMi
  • Ensure consistent delivery of disease-state, product administration, monitoring, lab management, dose titration, side effect mitigation, and treatment management education through the team
  • Oversee how the team educates oncology offices, nurses, NPs, PAs, and other clinical staff to support effective treatment implementation and patient management
  • Identify educational gaps, office workflow barriers, and support needs across community oncology and academic settings, and adapt field strategy accordingly
  • Ensure clear role separation and compliant collaboration between Oncology Nurse Educators and field sales teams.

Educational Materials and Customer Tools
  • Lead the strategy, creation, review, and evolution of educational materials used by the Oncology Nurse Educator team with healthcare customers
  • Partner with Training, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, and other stakeholders to develop compliant, effective, and customer-relevant educational resources
  • Ensure all customer-facing educational tools support the needs of nurses, advanced practice providers, and office staff involved in BESREMi treatment management
  • Use field insights and customer feedback to continuously improve educational content, tools, and resource deployment
  • Oversee content consistency across the field to ensure education is delivered accurately, appropriately, and in alignment with approved messaging.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as the primary field nurse education representative in commercial leadership discussions and strategic planning forums
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Sales Training, and other key functions to align strategy and execution
  • Develop strong working relationships with field partners to ensure coordinated, compliant support of healthcare practices
  • Bring an enterprise mindset to the organization by engaging stakeholders as true partners in pursuit of shared patient and business goals
  • Provide fact-based, data-driven recommendations to leadership based on field insights, education trends, and identified customer needs.

Performance, Insights, and Compliance
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the impact, reach, and quality of the nurse education function
  • Track trends in educational needs, common customer questions, monitoring challenges, and operational barriers to optimize team focus and resource deployment
  • Ensure all activities, documentation, and field interactions are conducted in accordance with FDA regulations, company policies, and compliance standards
  • Oversee appropriate documentation of team activities in CRM and related systems
  • Ensure adverse events and product complaints are identified and escalated according to policy.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including leading field-based teams
  • Oncology experience required; hem-oncology and/or rare disease experience preferred
  • Experience building teams and commercial capabilities in support of launch or growth-stage brands required
  • Strong understanding of oncology customer segments, including physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and office-based clinical staff
  • Experience in educational program design, training strategy, or development of customer-facing materials strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Training, and related functions
  • Proven ability to synthesize business insights and shape strategy and tactics accordingly
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required by the role.

The expected base salary range for this position is $250,000 to $280,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and geographical location. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible for short-term and long-term incentives.
