Our new research center, PharmaEssentia Innovation Research Center (PIRC), will build upon our invention and discovery-based innovation efforts originally established in Taiwan that led to a transformative advancement for treating polycythemia vera (one of the myeloid proliferative neoplasms). At PIRC, we aim to expand our current expertise in related therapeutic areas and identify novel therapeutic approaches in early to mid-stage discovery and development. Data scientists will leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to inform new target and indication selections. The company is also recruiting for talented scientists who have deep knowledge in immunology, translational science, bioinformatics and biologics platforms to develop novel drugs employing disease-driving biology, novel technology in protein engineering, antibody discovery and new modalities.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
  • Execution of protein analytical methodologies to assess purity, stability, non-specificity, and other biophysical and biochemical properties, employing a variety of analytical equipment such as SEC/RP-HPLC, CE-SDS, cIEF/IEX, DLS, and DSF.
  • Performing protein labeling (e.g., biotinylation and fluorophore conjugation) to generate the reagents for biologics discovery campaigns and analysis.
  • Pre-developability and stability assessment of Biologics lead candidates.
  • Characterizing binding, kinetics, and epitope using BLI and SPR.
  • Collaborate extensively with other members of PIRC for protocol development and execution of studies in the immunology and oncology therapeutic area.
  • Entering and analyzing data and thorough documentation of work in the Company’s ELN system.
  • Presentation of results in team meetings, other group settings.
